Men’s Lindale Waterproof Walking Shoe

Hardly into the first winter, the seams above and around toes started to fall apart on both shoes in different places, almost simultaneously. Leather patches come apart, wind and water enter through the widening gaps. It looked like someone severed the stitches with a scalpel or dipped the shoes into acid, so that they start dissolving. But more likely, the threads were of low quality and not strong enough, or damaged during the production. Such a waste of great design and other materials for one cheap component! I would keep wearing them with great pleasure otherwise.

I bought these at a reduced price about 8 months ago. I have worn them since then, and for the past three months used them three or four times a week for walks from 2 to 10 miles on footpaths and tracks in the South Downs . They are extremely comfortable with good grip, and suit my wide feet well. Sizing seems spot on. They look a little careworn but are easy to clean and a little leather balsam should help perk them up. The are waterproof so far, and my feet do not sweat either, so the "breathable" bit seems correct but I haven't tested them in extremely wet conditions yet. Good value.

One of the comfiest shoes I've ever worn - bar none

Tried these on in the shop and they seemed comfortable and well made. However after just over 12 months of light use the stitching holding the shoe together at the front is all coming apart. Really disappointing especially after light use and treatment with the correct walking shoe protector.

Only wore these to office and the stitching came undone around the big toe area after a few months.
