I purchased Peter Storm rain gear in July for a rafting trip in August and September on the Alsek River which flows from Yukon Terr. in Canada to Glacier Bay in Alaska. We experienced rain and wind as expected and the rain gear worked very well. I was as comfortable as I could expect to be under quite harsh conditions. More comfortable, I have to say, than my trip mates. Some of the local fishermen recognised my raingear and commented "Peter Storm eh" - rubbing the fabric between their fingers "Good Stuff" they said wistfully in their stiff rubber jackets. I agree whole heartedly.
Thank you for helping me to obtain the best rain gear I've ever owned. Next week I'm off to another raft trip down the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, where we're apt to encounter bad weather this time of year. Just a fast note to let you know that the 301 overjacket and 302
Chest-hi pants worked great on the Caribou hunt at Prudhoe Bay,
Alaska. As no rain was encountered the jacket was put into use as a
superb windbreaker against the cold Artic
Winds that sometimes come rolling in from the Artic Ocean. I have got to
use the jacket several times here in Colorado
during my walks in rainy afternoons with wind. What I really noticed was
the very little prespiration that was generated
